Description
5wins.com seeks a journalism intern or interns for the Spring 2026 semester. We are a new media startup dedicated to women’s college athletics, with a focus on storytelling and community building.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Pitch, report, write, and shoot as appropriate, producing one major feature and three additional pieces to be published during the fall-winter sports season.
• Attend weekly or bi-weekly virtual editorial meetings of one hour or less, and the rest of the time reporting, writing, and producing media content.
• The total time commitment is 10 hours per week, from January 20 – May 3.

Qualifications:
• Academic junior, senior, or graduate student
• Ideally, enrolled in the SJMC and the sports communication certificate program
• Passionate and knowledgeable about one or more women’s college sports
• Demonstrated interest and capabilities in journalism
