Join our dynamic team as a Communications Intern for summer 2026. You will support the internal communications team with a variety of projects. You will report directly to the Senior Communications Manager.

Primary responsibilities include assisting our communications unit with producing a wide array of mass communications, including employee stories and announcements, agent articles, mass emails, and specialty publications. Additionally, you will develop smaller-scale communications plans and collaborate with communications colleagues on large-scale plans.

Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid to late May and ends in August. During your internship, you’ll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities. You’ll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an AmFam Group office.

As The Ideal Candidate:
• You will be a strong writer (AP Style proficient).
• You must be willing to jump in on a real-life project and seek guidance from those around you.
• Basic project management skills are a necessity.
• Candidates majoring in: Public relations, journalism, and communications are encouraged to apply.
Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service.
• Must be currently seeking a baccalaureate, masters, or doctoral degree and be enrolled in an accredited college or university on a full-time basis or as required by the university’s co-op program.
• Must have achieved 24 semester hours of academic credit before beginning the first work term.
