Description

Founded in 1996, Craft Link is a Vietnamese not-for-profit fair trade organization which helps traditional craft producers sustain their culture and improve their livelihoods through handicraft production and marketing.

The organization strives to work directly and closely with handicraft producers, who make a variety of goods including clothing, jewelry, home décor, gifts, toys, and more. Craft Link gives preference to marginalized or disadvantaged artisans, such as ethnic minority people in remote areas, street children, and people with disabilities. The organization believes strongly in investing in the handicraft producers’ social welfare and not simply treating them as a means of production.

Craft Link currently supports 63 artisan groups throughout Vietnam, in which 45% are ethnic minorities, 25% are disadvantaged groups, and 30% are traditional villages.

Marketing & Communications interns may be responsible for following tasks:
-Documenting Craft Link events by taking photos/videos and editing them
-Creating content to promote Craft Link’s products and help tell the stories of its producers and artisans
-Visiting local markets and stores to gain understanding of competitive products available
-Identifying social enterprise successes and challenges related to product development, quality control, and marketing
-Other ad hoc tasks as needed
